Wicklow Star Awards
On this Fri 22nd Jan. our club will be hosting the County Star Awards. This event will be held in the function room of the Horse & Hound in Delgany, which is kindly being donated by the Boylan family. We will need sandwiches and cakes for this, so if you are in a position to help out, please contact Theresa asap on 0868635797.
Once again Greystones has done very well, with Caoimhe Basquille taking the Girls U16-19 award, Niamh Kearney and Patrick Costello taking the Junior awards and Sean Ryder receiving an achievement award for winning the Celtic Games Javelin competition. Greystones AC will also receive the overall award for Track & Field for 2009. Athletes who were members of the junior/U23 team, that won the Leinster’s, will also receive awards on the night. The event begins at 8pm and we hope to see lots of you there supporting the athletes. As we will all be going to the awards, training on Fri will be in the hall, from 6-7pm, for all groups.
