FIT4LIFE
Following the very serious incident at last month’s Fit4ife race in Roundwood, the next Fit4Life will be a fundraiser for the purchase of a defibrillator. The next race will take place on Djouce on Wed. the 31st of July. There will be no race fee and no prizes at this race. Instead donations to fund the purchase of the defibrillator will be very welcome and appreciated. Check-in at 7pm, race at 7.30pm. This is a predictor race, where nobody wears a watch and runners predict their finishing time. Token prizes for nearest predictions!

New club singlets are now available. Those who have been waiting for them for competition, can contact Theresa to arrange purchase.

TRAINING
Usual training  continues for the 7 - 8.30pm groups, who still have a number of competitions during July and early August. U 12 athletes who have signed up to compete in the Developmental Event on Aug 11th are welcome to attend these sessions. These groups will take a break in Aug. once competitions end, and training will resume at the start of Sept. After a two week break, athletes will need to start doing short runs every second day, in order to return ‘fit to train’.

Please note that athletes who have missed training for several weeks without notifying the club are assumed to have left and have been removed from our check-in sheets and places have been given to waiting athletes. Anyone wishing to return to the club will have to contact us to go back on to our waiting list until places become available.

REGISTRATION CARDS
Many of you have still not collected your athletics registration cards. Please ask for these at check-in, if you haven’t collected it yet. For the younger athletes we would suggest that parents come down and collect them, as they are likely to get lost otherwise and they cannot be replaced. These cards entitle you to a 10% reduction at Woodies. Cards for recent registrations may not have arrived yet.
