To the Borel family for acquiring all the jars for us and returning them afterwards, the Lawless family for facilitating the parking, the Quirk family for the beautiful signs  and to everyone who supplied all the lovely food. Thanks also to Inbhear Dee AC for the tent etc. and for all their help and support and special thanks to everyone who turned up on the night to take part. Some training sessions will be arranged over the holidays for athletes competing in Jan. and those who wish to keep up their training. Times/dates will be available before we break up for Xmas.  Those who don’t attend training sessions should get out and run every second day, to keep up fitness levels……. we have the relays coming up very soon!

Attendance at the Sunday run has improved a bit, but is still very poor. This is a very important part of your training and by far the most enjoyable run of the week.  We have been keeping it local by running in Djouce @ 10am most Sundays, with a reminder going up on our FB page and our website each week. Please make an effort to attend these runs, you will be amazed at the difference it will make to your running and your general fitness.

The Tues night road runs are continuing and everyone who comes along is really enjoying them. The group meets at the track at 7.15pm, and after a short warm-up various groups, from absolute beginners to regular runners, head out for a run over various distances. We now have markings on the cycle track in both directions to help you gage distance and pace. Runners of all abilities are welcome, but remember, you do not have to be a runner to come along to any of our adult sessions, as beginners are very welcome. . We hope that the numbers will continue to grow. Running is something you can take up at any age, so why not join in the road run  on Tues.nights while the kids are on the track or try a Fit4Life session on Mon or Wed. at 10am or 8.30pm

Starting on Mon 7th Jan, a new beginners group for those that want to start the New Year off on the right track. Run in conjunction with Shoreline Sports Park, our qualified & experienced coaches will teach you proper warm-up & stretching routines, offer practical advice and encouragement and ensure a proper cool-down is done afterwards. Using a tried & tested walk/jog formula, we will have you up and running quicker and easier than you ever thought possible. Sessions on the track each Mon. & Wed. from 6-7pm. You can attend one or both sessions each week. Hi-vis vest and diary with programme supplied, when you sign up for a 6 week programme. Our regular Fit4Life sessions will continue as normal.
